The U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development announced news in housing starts for July 2014.
Building permits for privately-owned housing units authorized were at a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1,052,000 which is 8.1 percent above the June rate and 7.7 percent above the July 2013 estimate.
Privately-owned housing starts in July were 15.7 percent above the revised June estimate and is 21.7 percent above the July 2013 rate.Privately-owned housing completions were also above the July 2013 rate by 8.0 percent.
